Since May 25, 2018, the European Union has been tightening the standard on the processing of personal data of EU citizens.

General Data Protection Regulation is a data protection regulation, which is designed to tighten, among other things, the regulation of the field of PD within the EU. It will come into force on May 25, 2018 and will replace the Data Protection Directive, a directive adopted back in 1995.

The regulation is mandatory for all companies with more than 250 employees processing the data of EU residents.

Among other things, the regulations are applicable to companies with fewer employees, in the case of belonging to the following types of activities:

Data Processors – operators for processing personal data.
